    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial cable which is provided with a connector, consists of a small number of parts, shows a low insertion loss, with no contact defect caused by external force. SOLUTION: A central conductor of a coaxial cable 7 or a central pin 1 connected to the central conductor is extended in the axial direction from the end of the coaxial cable 7, and an insulating body 2 surrounding the base end part of the central conductor or the central pin 1 is arranged. A conductive shell 5 covering the outer circumference of the insulating body 2 is arranged, and the shell 5 is connected to an outer conductor of the coaxial cable 7, while a flange 4 protruded in the radial directional outside from the shell 5 and provided with a flat surface facing in the axial direction is formed integrally with the shell 5. The flange 4 is fixed to an object to be connected and the central pin 1 is connected to an electrode in the object to be connected, so that the number of connection positions can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To provide an optical cable connecting box capable of stably improving the holding force of a tension member by a base member and retaining member in clamping of the tension member. CONSTITUTION:A clamp 4 for holding the tension member of the optical cable 1 consists of the base member 41, the retaining member 42 and a tightening member 4. The base member 41 has a tension member supporting surface 4a. The retaining member 42 has a tension member retaining surface 4b and a tension member insertion groove 42a to be disposed opposite to such tension member supporting surface 4a. The base of the tension member insertion groove 42a of the retaining member 42 is so formed as to project higher in the direction of pressing the tension member than the tension member retaining surface 4b. The base of the tension member insertion groove 42a of the retaining member 42 is so graded as to face the side marginal edge 41 a of the tension member supporting surface 4a of the base member 41.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the application of stress to an optical fiber by inserting the optical fiber into a spirally grooved spacer on the outside circumference of a tension member given which is applied with untwisting while rotating the fiber in the direction where the groove pitch of the spirally grooved spacer decreases, then coating a sheath thereon. CONSTITUTION:The arbitrary untwisting is previously applied to the tension member 2 and the spirally grooved spacer 3 is provided on the outside circumference of this member. The optical fiber 1 is inserted into this spacer 3 while the fiber is rotated in the direction where the groove pitch of the spacer 3 decreases. The sheath is coated on the outside circumference of the spacer 3 after the insertion, then the untwisting applied to the member 2 is released. The surplus length is thereby easily provided to the optical fiber 1 and the application of the stress on the optical fiber 1 is easily prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To connect optical fibers easily by matching the axes of the 1st and 2nd optical fibers by an axis matching mechanism in an optical fiber connector on the basis of an output from a differential amplifier. CONSTITUTION:The 1st and 2nd bent parts 10, 11 obtained by bending the 1st and 2nd optical fibers 1a, 2a are formed on the side of the optical fiber connector 9. Light rays incident upon the 1st and 2nd bent parts 10, 11 are leaked and the leaked light rays are converted into electric values by the 1st and 2nd optical power detectors 12, 13 arranged oppositely to the 1st and 2nd bent parts 10, 11. The converted electric values are inputted to the differential amplifier 14 connected between the 1st and 2nd optical power detectors 12 and 13 and the axis matching mechanism of the optical fiber connector 9 is adjusted by an output from the differential amplifier 14 which is based upon said inputs. Thus, the optical fibers 1a, 2a can be easily connected.
