    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily set a work limiting area related to the monitoring objects such as a crane working under the transmission lines, etc., and to reduce the interference with the daily work by grasping the position relation between a light wave measuring device and a monitoring object via a comparison operation and outputting an alarm, etc., as necessary. SOLUTION: An automatic tracking measuring device 1 is placed at a position where a working range of a crane 5, i.e., an object to be monitored is linearly viewed. The mirrors 2-1, 2-2 and 2-3 are attached to the boom tip of the crane 5, a steel tower 6-1 and a steel tower 6-2 respectively. The device 1 measures the mirrors 2-2 and 2-3, and these measurement results are previously corrected with calculation by checking the structure and size of the steel towers. Thus the support points of the electric wires 7 are known and accordingly the differences of elevation and the spans are known among the support points. Then the weight of each wire 7 is calculated from its type and size, and the catenary curve of the wire 7 is be easily calculated by giving the horizontal tension that is generally used to the wire 7. The alarm/ dangerous area is calculated and set by a three-dimensional calculation where plus something is substituted centered on the catenary curve.

    • PURPOSE:To set the degree of sags efficiently with high accuracy by separately installing gyros capable of measuring angles with high precision to an insulator string and an electric wire in a steel tower, measuring the angles, inputting the result of the measurement to a computing element and arithmetically operating continuously the degree of sag with change in time. CONSTITUTION:The actual catenary angle theta1 of an electric wire is measured by a gyro 10a, and the angle theta2 of an insulator string 2 is measured by another gyro 10b. When these results of measurement are input to a computing element and arithmetically operated, a true catenary angle theta corrected can be determined easily. When separately input span length and the difference of elevation and temperature conditions and other necessary data as required are added and these results of measurement are arithmetically operated, the degree of sags can be acquired easily. Accordingly, the obtained values are displayed on an indicator 12 for the computing element, and an operator accurately sets the degree of sags while directly reading the results and can conduct wire stretching work.

The drop-preventing mechanisms 8a, 8b may be provided, preferably in the front and back positions of the main body portion respectively. Also, the main body portion of the self-traveling machine has both a main body frame 1 and a guide frame 2, provided connectively with the frame 1 in its front portion of its traveling direction in an vertical and angular movable way. Further, mounting a motor 4 on the main body frame 1, both on its front and back positions of its traveling direction and on the guide frame 2 pulleys 3a, 3b, 3c with grooves are preferably provided respectively, to drive and rotate each of them by the motor 4.
