    • The present invention provides a ventilated casing for an electronic device. The ventilated casing includes a housing (102) which has a ventilation inlet (106) and a ventilation outlet (108). The ventilated casing also includes a high speed fan (110) for moving air from the ventilation inlet (106) to the ventilation outlet (108) to dissipate heat that in use is generated by electronic components (104) positioned in the housing (101). The fan (110) has a blade (112), a motor (114) and an air guiding portion (116) positioned near the blade (112). The ventilated casing further includes a suspension (120) for suspending the fan (110) relative to the housing (102) and for damping transmission of vibration originating from the fan (110).

The system (202, 250) also includes an information service (222) configured to receive information from the plurality of GRAMs (254a-254c) and a broker (256) configured to receive an application request (258) and to determine resource requirements from the application request (258), wherein the broker (258) is configured to determine which of the data centers (100, 252a-252c) contains adequate resources to perform the requested application (258). The system (202, 252a-252c) further includes a co-allocator (224) configured to receive information pertaining to the data centers (100, 252a-252c) having the adequate resources, wherein the co-allocator (224) is further configured to select one of the data centers (100, 252a-252c) to perform the requested application (258) based upon energy efficiency characteristics of the data centers (100, 252a-252c).
