    • PURPOSE: To adapt a journal without weakening it and to make it operable from outside by a constitution wherein a pinion fixed to an adjusting shaft provided eccentrically in the journal engages directly with a sector gear provided in the front of a support element. CONSTITUTION: A mechanism which adjusts a support element 8 in relation to the main body of a storage cylinder 1 is constructed of an adjusting shaft 11 which is provided asymmetrically and parallel to the central longitudinal axis 9 and borne rotatably inside a journal 2. A pinion 12 rotating in a lateral recess having a depth limited is fitted to the inner end part of the adjusting shaft 11 and the teeth of this pinion 12 are made to engage directly with the inside teeth of a sector gear 13 fixed to the end face of the support element 8 being adjacent to the journal 2. The sector gear 13 extends over the maximum regulation area of the support element 8, while the end part of the adjusting shaft 11 led outside pierces a gear 5 and has a hexagonal head 14, and the adjusting shaft 11 is turned round by a tool having a corresponding shape.

    • PURPOSE: To dispense with an extra working step for switching a chucking pawl by switching a chucking pawl changeover device simultaneously with a printing unit replacement device by combining these two devices. CONSTITUTION: A chucking pawl is provided in a dent 2 which is opened outwardly in a turning-over cylinder 1 and extends in parallel with a shaft. The operation of the chucking pawl is controlled by a cam roller 16 through a control lever and a bridge 15 and the pawl comes into contact with a drive cam 17 fixed on a machine base 4, resulting in the movement of the bridge 15. The cam roller 16 changes its position from the drive cam 17 to a drive cam 18. To move the bridge 15 in an axial direction, an eccentric body 19 is pivotally supported on the turning-over cylinder shaft 1 and is insetted in a bearing for the bridge 15. The rotation of the eccentric body 19 is performed by a changeover shaft 21 through a miter gear, and the eccentric body 19 is pivotally supported, in a freely rotatable manner, in the turning-over cylinder 1, the free end part of the eccentric body 19 being set through a fixed gear 6 and a clamping member 12. The free end part of the changeover shaft 21 connected to a replacement gear 10 with speed change gears, and the rotary angle of the replacement gear 10 is changed to a fixed gear 6. Thus a chucking pawl control device is switched by the changeover shaft 21 simultaneously with a printing unit when it is replaced.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize a condition of tensioning of the plate end of a printing plate or a foil plate which is not bent by fixing a spring-loaded holding pawl for certainly holding and fixing the printing plate or the foil plate to a press fitment. SOLUTION: A tensile fixing device 3 of a rear plate end 4 is installed in the groove 1 of a plate cylinder 2 and a printing plate 5 is tensely fixed to the outer peripheral face of the plate cylinder 2 with the help of the device 3. A tensioning fitment 7 is fixed to a shaft 6 provided in the groove 1 in the axial direction of the plate cylinder 2. Further, a press fitment 9 is borne and fastened to the tensioning fitment 7 through a pin 8 and the plate end 4 with the press fitment 7 securely fixing the bent plate end 4 in association with the tensioning fitment 7 and then the printing plate 5 is tensioned. In addition, a pneumatic unit 10 which loosens and removes the plate end 4 acts on the tensioning fitment 7, which is twisted counter-clockwise and the lug 11 of the press fitment 9 comes into contact with a protrusion 12 provided in the plate cylinder 2 to generate a leverage. Consequently, it is possible to again mount a new printing plate 5.
