摘要： PURPOSE:To provide an immersion tube for molten steel treatment apparatus hardly sticking slag and excellent in durability. CONSTITUTION:The immersion tube for molten steel treatment apparatus is constituted by arranging a refractory lining 2 in the outer peripheral part of a metal-made cylindrical body 1 having a flange 6 at the upper end part and also, the refractory lining 3 in the inner peripheral part. In this case, a carbon- containing shaped refractory 4 containing a specific content of carbon and sintering agent is used for the refractory lining in the outer peripheral part from the slag line part 7 to the flange 6. The carbon-containing shaped refractory 4 and monolithic refractory 5 can alternately be arranged. By this constitution, the excellent durability is obtd. because the sticking of slag is prevented, and the refractory lining in the outer peripheral part hardly fall down during using and at the time of removing the slag.

CONSTITUTION:In an immersion tube in which the outer/inner circumference parts of a metal cylinder 1 are respectively constituted of refractories 2, 3, this immersion tube for molten steel treatment device is obtained by embedding an annular porous refractory 4 in a slag line part of the outer circumference part. By embedding a porous refractory in the slag line part of outer circumference and by blowing an inert gas through a gas introducing pipe, the immersion tube is formed with a gas film between slag and porous refractory. As a result, the rewardable effect on preventing slag sticking as well as excellent durability is obtained.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constructing method enabling construction of a furnace having a thermal shock resistance and a brick of high expansivity being used for the constructing method, by using a brick of high expansivity not containing an additive in question, such as carbon, and chromium. SOLUTION: The ratio of a long side (b) to a short side (a) of the face of a brick 1 of high expansivity coming into contact with molten steel is set to be 1 to 2. On the occasion when a furnace is constructed by using this brick 1 of high expansivity, a joint thickness is made 1.25 to 2.0 times larger than an empty joint thickness at a temperature of 1500 deg.C. As for a joint material, a ceramic sheet is used.

By casting the porous castable refractory on the outer circumference, and by blowing inert gas through a gas introducing pipe, the immersion tube is formed with a gas film between slag and porous castable refractory. The porous castable refractory is obtained by adding an organic combustible of a prescribed quantity before casting and firing/vanishing it due to heat at drying to impart permeability thereto. As a result, the rewarkable effect on prevention of slag sticking as well as excellent durability is obtained.
