    • A well system for forming a window in a casing string positioned in a wellbore. The system includes first and second steel casing joints (462, 464) interconnectable within the casing string. An aluminum exit joint (460) is positioned between the first and second steel casing joints (462, 464). The aluminum exit joint (460) has a first interconnection with the first steel casing joint (462) and a second interconnection with the second steel casing joint (464). The aluminum exit joint (460) is operable to have the window formed therethrough. A first sleeve (470) is positioned within the first interconnection to provide galvanic isolation between the aluminum exit joint (460) and the first steel casing joint (462). A second sleeve (472) is positioned within the second interconnection to provide galvanic isolation between the aluminum exit joint (460) and the second steel casing joint (464).

    • Disclosed are intelligent casing collars and cement wiper plugs used in wellbore cementing operations. A disclosed well system includes a casing string extending from a surface location within a wellbore, an annulus being defined between the casing string and the wellbore, a casing collar included in the casing string and having one or more sensors configured to measure at least one fluid property of a fluid present within the annulus, a cement wiper plug arranged within the casing string and communicably coupled to the casing collar such that measurement data obtained by the one or more sensors is conveyed to and received by the cement wiper plug, and a pulser associated with the cement wiper plug and configured to transmit pressure pulses to the surface location, wherein the pressure pulses correspond to the measurement data received from the one or more sensors.

    • A running tool for installing a liner string having a profile in a wellbore. The running tool includes a mandrel, a prop assembly positioned about the mandrel and a collet assembly slidably positioned on the mandrel. The collet assembly has a generally cylindrical collet collar with a plurality of collet fingers extending therefrom each having a collet head on a distal end thereof. In a first position, the prop assembly radially outwardly flexes the collet fingers such that the collet heads engage the profile of the liner string and are operable to apply a force in the downhole direction to the liner string. In a second position, the collet assembly is remote from the prop assembly such that the collet fingers radially inwardly contract disengaging the collet heads from the profile of the liner string, thereby enabling removal of the running tool from the liner string.
