    • This invention is directed to arylbenzylpiperidine compounds which are ligands at the MCHl receptor. The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the invention and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. This invention also provides a method of treating a subject suffering from depression comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the subject invention. This invention further provides a method of treating a subject suffering from anxiety comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the subject invention. This invention also provides a method of treating a subject suffering from obesity comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of the subject invention. In response to execution of the instructions by the processor, the apparatus may perform at least receiving an indication of a first variable defining a communication parameter with respect to communications associated with a serving node, receiving an indication of a second variable defining the communication parameter with respect to communications associated with a neighbor node, determining variable information based on a difference between the first variable and the second variable, and providing the variable information to the serving node in a quantized message enabling the serving node to modify a value associated with the first variable to reduce the difference between the first variable and the second variable. The invention relates to a method, comprising: deriving two different timings from a timing source, wherein a first derived timing is a physical timing used for timing at least transmissions from a wireless network access node, and wherein a second derived timing is a virtual timing representing a currently preferred physical timing; receiving an indication of a virtual timing from at least one other network access node; comparing the at least one received virtual timing indication with the derived virtual timing of the network access node, and update the derived virtual timing; and determining achieving synchronization of the derived virtual timing with the at least one received virtual timing, and to adjust the physical timing accordingly.

    • An exemplary embodiment in accordance with this invention is a method for determining the number of interfering streams. The method includes calculating statistical information based on one or more received OFDM signals. The number of interfering streams is estimated from the statistical information in this method. The OFDM signal(s) are received via a plurality of antennas. Storing the OFDM signal(s) in a square matrix may be included in the method. A covariance matrix of the square matrix can be determined; and a noise subspace and a signal plus interference subspace can be determined based on a SVD of the covariance matrix. The statistical information maybe based on the signal plus interference subspace. Apparatus, computer programs and computer-readable media are also discloses.
