A method of installing the roofing membrane includes, along an edge of a first membrane, mechanically removing a portion of the first membrane extending vertically to include the first layer and a portion of the second layer to leave a flap of the first membrane, placing an edge of a second membrane to overlap the first membrane, and bonding the first membrane to the second membrane. The underside of the edge of the second membrane overlies the flap of the first membrane.

摘要： A method of forming a polymeric material includes forming a solution including at least two solvents and at least two diamines. The at least two diamines include oxydianiline (ODA) in an amount of about 50% to about 90% based on the total moles of the at least two diamines and include m-phenylenediamine (MPD) in an amount of about 10% to about 50% based on the total moles of the at least two diamines. The at least two solvents include a high polarity solvent in an amount of about 40% to about 90% based on the total weight of the at least two solvents and include a low polarity solvent in an amount of about 10% to about 60% based on the total weight of the at least two solvents. The method further includes adding pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) to the solution in a ratio of about 0.9 to about 1.05 based on the total moles of the at least two diamines to form a polyamic acid solution. In addition, the method includes imidizing the polyamic acid solution to form a polyimide material.

摘要： A method for making a particulate filled polymeric matrix composite film includes mixing a polymeric matrix material with a dispersion of particulate filler in a carrier liquid to form a casting composition and adjusting the viscosity of the casting composition to retard separation of the particulate filler from the composition. A layer of the viscosity-adjusted casting composition is cast on a substrate and the layer is consolidated to form the particulate filled polymer matrix composite film. Films made by the method include very thin, e.g less than 1.0 mil, fluoropolymeric matrix films highly filled with very small diameter, preferably spherical, particles for use as, e.g. dielectric substrate materials in laminar electrical circuits.
