摘要： Presently described is an adhesive composition comprising at least one isobutylene polymer and an alkyl amine adhesion promoting agent. The alkyl amine is unreactive with respect to the isobutylene polymer. In favored embodiments, the alkyl amine adhesion promoting agent comprises an alkyl group having 6-24 carbon atoms. Further, the isobutylene polymer is a non-halogenated copolymer or homopolymer. Also described are adhesive articles a pressure sensitive adhesive, as described herein on a backing The adhesive is particularly suitable for articles intended for use in a wet environment such as kitchen or bath articles.

摘要： A mechanical fastener including a plurality of engaging stems located in unordered arrangements, which repeat on a substrate. A preferred embodiment of the invention provides a mechanical fastener with a plurality of repeating unordered arrangements, where the arrangements repeat in more than one direction. The unordered arrangements of the engaging stems allow pairs of the fasteners to interengage with themselves, or in other words, to self-mate. Additionally, the unordered arrangements of engaging stems allow the fasteners to interengage at any relative angular orientation with a relatively constant engagement force, and a relatively constant disengagement force regardless of their angular orientation. The unordered arrangements of engaging stems also allow pairs of fasteners to interengage at any relative planar position with a relatively constant engagement force and a relatively constant disengagement force regardless of their planar position.

摘要： A laminated composite suitable for use in medical products such as tapes and wraps. The composite includes, for example, a first nonwoven fiber layer, an elastic layer, a melt blown adhesive fiber layer, and a second nonwoven fiber layer. A scrim layer serves as a deadstop, or stretch limit, to prevent over stretching. The non-woven fiber layer(s) and/or the scrim layer form suitable loops for a hook and loop fastening system. The scrim layer in some embodiments is employed to make the composite finger tearable. The melt blown adhesive layer, nonwoven web layer and elastic layer form a breathable, porous elastic composite. Methods of manufacturing the composite are also disclosed.
