摘要： An image display apparatus capable of switching a display mode between a directional display mode where a first image is displayed in a first viewing direction and a second image is displayed in a second viewing direction and a non-directional display mode where the same image is displayed in both the first and second viewing directions. The apparatus includes an image forming unit and an optical member. The optical member is disposed adjacent to an emitting side of the image forming unit and is used for switching the display mode. 摘要： When “0” indicating that intensity of a stereoscopic effect is the lowest is applied as a stereoscopic effect tag, a stereoscopic image is allowed to be displayed as it is. On the other hand, when “1, 2, and 3” are applied as the stereoscopic effect tag, a reduction ratio is determined depending on a value of the stereoscopic effect tag (one-half, one-third, etc.). On the basis of this reduction ratio, the stereoscopic image is displayed and letters of “warning” are displayed. A user selects whether to display the stereoscopic image according to a producer's intention or to maintain the size-reduced stereoscopic image. If an operation requiring for a display of the stereoscopic image as it is intended by the producer is performed, an original stereoscopic image is displayed.
