    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for efficiently repairing a revetment of a river or a dike by continuously pressing in steel pipe piles without needing a large-scale temporary device, and to provide a method of widening the river or the like utilizing the construction method.
      SOLUTION: In this continuous construction method of the revetment, equipment such as a crane is arranged ready to work on a steel pipe pile line PL, and the steel pipe pile line PL is constructed at the concrete revetment using a steel pipe pile press-in device 11 capable of rotationally pressing in the steel pipe piles P. While obtaining reaction from the steel pipe pile line PL, the steel pipe piles P are rotationally pressed in to construct a continuous wall. The continuous wall is constructed using this method, and then a working device or the like for carrying out widening work is disposed near the steel pipe pile line PL to remove sediment or the like on the river side or to dredge the nearby water bottom.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foundation pile which enables the sure integration of a foot protection portion with the pile having a tapered portion provided at the leading end of the pile, and a method for constructing the foundation pile. SOLUTION: This foundation pile employs a steel pipe pile. The diameter reduction ratio of the tapered portion, which is the ratio (D2/D1) of an outside diameter D2 of a leading end of the tapered portion to the outside diameter D1 of the constant part, having the fixed outside diameter, of the steel pipe pile above the tapered portion 4, is set to be in the range of 0.80-0.95.
