    • Methods and devices for performing a selection action of information in a central system before communicating selected information to a user terminal. The selection is based on at least the identity of the user and position of the user terminal. Using relations between identity and profiles, a first information filtering can be achieved. Using relations between the actual position of the user terminal and constitution of the industrial automation facility, information irrelevant for parts in the vicinity of the user terminal is removed. The operational situation of the facility and history of user actions may be used for filtering or prioritizing the information. The most prioritized data quantity is communicated to the user terminal and displayed at a user terminal display. If all the data, despite sifting, is too extensive to be shown at once on the user terminal, the user may move between different parts of the relevant information.

A portable operating unit has a transmitter for transmitting wireless information. The information is divided in time slots, each including a data package. The receiver includes a detector for detecting in a time part of a time slot the presence of the data package and a calculator for calculating upon a reception failure the number of time parts having no presence of the data package following a time slot with presence of the data package. The control unit exercises a control command when a data package with a correct information has been received within a number of time parts just exceeding a full time slot.

    • The present invention discloses methods and devices, with which a selection action of information is performed in a central system before communicating the selected information to a user terminal. This selection (4,6) is according to the invention based on a least both the identity (9) of the user and the position (11) of the user terminal. By using relations between identity (9) and profiles (8) a first information filtering can be achieved. By further using relations between the actual position (11) of the user terminal and the constitution of the industrial automation facility, information irrelevant for the parts in the vicinity of the user terminal is removed. Preferably, also the operational situation of the facility and the history of the user actions are used for filtering or prioritising the information. The most prioritised data quantity is communicated (12) to the user terminal (13) and displayed at a user terminal display. If all the data, despite the sifting, is too extensive to be shown at once on the user terminal (13), the user may by one or a few key presses or mouse actions zap between different parts of the relevant information.
