Each of the point light sources includes a first light emitting chip emitting first light, a second light emitting chip emitting second light, and a third light emitting chip emitting third light. At least one restriction light emitting chip among the first, second and third light emitting chips has a larger light emitting area than that of a remainder of the light emitting chips, so that a light emitting intensity enough to display white light by mixing the first, second and third light is obtained.

The light source unit has at least one point light source, and the point light source emits light toward a side surface direction. The reflective element has a reflective surface, and the reflective surface is separated from the point light source toward the side surface direction by a predetermined distance for reflecting the light from the point light source toward an upper direction. The receiving container has a bottom plate and a side wall, for receiving the light source unit and the reflective element. A diffusion plate is disposed over the light source unit and the reflective element. Thus, uniform brightness may be enhanced, and the thickness of a display apparatus may be reduced.

The fixing plate is disposed under the FPC and has at least one first combining member. The cover is disposed under the fixing plate and has a first surface on which at least one second combining member is formed. The first and second combining members are combined with each other. Thus, assembling time may be decreased, heat may be efficiently dissipated, and manufacturing costs may be decreased.

摘要： In a method of driving a light source, initial driving signals are applied to a plurality of color light sources in response to a power-on signal from an external device. During a predetermined set time period, light amount control signals for controlling an amount of light generated by the color light sources are generated using a predetermined function with reference signals and first sensing signals generating by sensing the amount of the light generated by the color light sources driven by the initial driving signals. Then, compensated driving signals, which are compensated based on the light amount control signal, are applied to the color light sources to compensate the amount of the light generated by the color light sources.
