摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide binoculars constituted so that the user can select to view a front scene at the close distance or view an image displayed on a portable television while putting the binoculars on his/her eyes, and the user can avoid a trouble to busily watch a race.
SOLUTION: First optical elements 6 and 7 for transmitting the front scene are provided in one lens barrel 1, and an LCD array 5 for imaging the front scene on the surface of a CCD array 4 through second optical elements 8 and 9, then, photoelectrically converting the image of the front scene and displaying a video corresponding to the image is provided in the other lens barrel 2, and a CCD driving part 10, an LCD driving part 11, a one-circuit two-contact switch 12 which is made switchable from the outside, and an interface 14 which can be connected to the portable television 17 are provided in a mount 3 arranged between the two lens barrels 1 and 2. Regarding the one-circuit two-contact switch 12, a movable contact is connected to the LCD array 5 through the LCD driving part 11, and one fixed contact is connected to the CCD array 4 through the CCD driving part 10, and the other fixed contact is connected to the interface part 14.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide binoculars which enable a user to select whether to view nearby forward scenes or to view the videos of a portable television by using the binoculars merely by placing the binoculars on the eyes.
SOLUTION: The binoculars include a first CCD array 4 and a first LCD array 6 arranged within a lens-barrel 1 on one side, a second CCD array 5 and a second LCD array 7 arranged within a lens-barrel 2 on the other side, first and second CCD drives 8, 9 arranged within a mount 3 of the two lens-barrels 1, 2, first and second LCD drives 10, 11, externally operative first and second changeover switches 12, 13. and an interface 14 connected to the portable television tuner 19. The first and second changeover switches 12, 13 operate to form the imaging on the first and second CCD arrays 4, 5 on the first and second CCD arrays 4, 5 when the movable contact is changed over to one fixed contact. The switches operate to form the image from the portable television tuner 19 on the first and second LCD arrays 6, 7 when the movable contact is changed over to the other fixed contact.
