摘要： An infusion pump system is disclosed for dispensing liquid medication, such as insulin. The infusion pump system includes a first reservoir for storing liquid medication, a first fluid driver for exerting pressure on the first reservoir, a second reservoir for storing liquid medication, and a second fluid driver for exerting pressure on the second reservoir. One or more valves are used to permit flow of liquid medication from the first reservoir to the second reservoir, and to permit flow of liquid medication from the second reservoir to an infusion site. Each of the valves is selectively opened or closed to fill the second reservoir with liquid medication from the first reservoir and to dispense liquid medication from the second reservoir to the infusion site. A controller and one or more sensors are used to monitor and control the system.

The apparatus is a mandrel having a central core cylinder with an outer surface including a plurality of raised forms and gaps in-between the raised forms. The mandrel also includes a first and second outer cylinder, each having a curved radial end with a cut-out design similar to the shape of the plurality of raised forms. Once a stent is placed on the central core cylinder, the first and second outer cylinders are positioned on the central core cylinder such that the curved radial ends of the first and second outer cylinders align with the plurality of raised forms, shaping the stent.

摘要： Submerged gas diffuser assemblies configured to aerate liquid suspensions in reservoirs or deep shafts with enhanced aeration contact patterns and adjustable aeration rates. Aeration contact patterns and rates are varied by the adjusting the spatial configuration of gas permeable membranes, altering the fluid flow patterns around the membranes, manipulating trans-membrane pressures across membranes, varying the sequence of aeration of liquid within the fluid flow patterns, expanding the membrane surface area, and/or by selectively occluding certain portions of membrane surface area of the membrane assemblies. The membrane assemblies are designed to prevent, control, or mitigate membrane fouling and hydro lockup.

摘要： In a vertical shaft bioreactor, improved devices and methods are provided for enhanced secondary and/or tertiary treatment of wastewater, including residential, municipal and industrial wastewater. The devices and methods of the invention are useful for enhanced secondary wastewater treatment, including BOD and TSS removal. Tertiary treatment can alternately or additionally be achieved in the bioreactor with nitrification of ammonia, with nitrification and denitrification, and with nitrification, denitrification, and chemical phosphorus removal. A vertical shaft bioreactor is also provided which achieves thermophilic aerobic digestion and pasteurization of sewage sludges, optionally to produce class A biosolids.
