摘要： An apparatus for collecting and transporting bales. The apparatus includes a transport assembly and a grasping assembly operatively connected thereto. The transport assembly includes a bale loading platform extending above and mounted to a chassis. The bale loading platform comprises at least one bale conveying section in including a bale conveying mechanism. The grasping assembly includes a mechanical arm having a prehension end effector engageable with the bales. The grasping assembly is configurable between a bale engagement configuration for engaging a corresponding one of the bales laying on the ground, a bale capture configuration for capturing and lifting the corresponding one of the bales off the ground and a bale release configuration for releasing the corresponding one of the bales onto the bale loading platform and comprises a movement absorption mechanism operative to substantially cancel the forward displacement of the apparatus during the capture of the bales.

摘要： A bale shredding and spreading apparatus comprising, a housing, a conveyor, a bale shredding assembly, and a spreading assembly; and a method for operating the same. The bale shredding assembly comprises a rotor assembly having a plurality of knives protruding outwardly therefrom; a comb-shaped protector comprising a plurality of spaced-apart fingers extending across a material shredding path and over a bale engagement section of the rotor assembly. The bale shredding assembly also comprises a barrier downstream of the comb- shaped protector and including a blocking surface with a plurality of counter-knives projecting therefrom and spaced apart from one another. The barrier is selectively movable between an inactive position where the counter-knives are spaced apart from the knives of the rotor assembly and an active position where at least a portion of the counter-knives overlap with at least a portion of the knives of the rotor assembly.

摘要： A restrictor plate system for an industrial vertical mixer including at least one restrictor plate assembly engageable with a tub of the vertical mixer. The at least one restrictor plate assembly comprises a restrictor plate, a restrictor plate actuator and a control system. The restrictor plate is engageable into a corresponding one of at least one restrictor plate aperture of a peripheral wall of the tub and is configurable between a restriction configuration and a non-restriction configuration. The restrictor plate actuator is operatively connected to the restrictor plate and mechanically displaces the restrictor plate between the restriction configuration and the non-restriction configuration. The control system is operatively connected to the restrictor plate actuator. The control system receives a user input and generates a control signal, based on the user input, for controlling the restrictor plate actuator. A vertical mixer comprising a restrictor plate system is also provided.
