    • Exemplary embodiments of apparatus and method for effecting at least one anatomical structure of a body can be provided. For example, at least one first arrangement can be provided which is structured to be at least partially inserted into the body and including an opening. In addition, at least one second arrangement can be provided which configured to increase and/or decrease a size of the opening by a motion thereof in a first direction. Further, at least one third arrangement can be provided which can be coupled to the second arrangement(s), and configured to move at least in a second direction which is at least approximately parallel to the second direction. In particular, when the anatomical structure(s) is/are provided or inserted in the opening and is pressed on by the second arrangement(s), a first motion of the second arrangement(s) toward the anatomical structure(s) in the first direction is reduced and/or terminated while a second motion of the third arrangement(s) in the second direction either (i) remains at least approximately the same, and/or (ii) is reduced to a lesser extent than that of the first motion.

    • An occlusion device for actively occluding orifices of fallopian tubes includes a resilient body having an elongated member with a first end and a second end. The elongated member further includes a first leg ending with the first end of the elongated member, a second leg ending with the second end of the elongated member and a connection member positioned therebetween. A first orifice plug is secured at the first end of the elongated member and a second orifice plug is secured at the second end of the elongated member. The first and second orifice plugs are shaped and dimensioned to seat at the orifices of the fallopian tubes or within the fallopian tubes as the elongated member spreads outwardly with the first end and second end moving apart. A delivery device for delivery of medication or therapeutic agents to a uterine cavity is also disclosed.

    • An endoscope tool coupling that facilitates the placement and positioning of a surgical tool within an endoscope. The tool coupling may be configured to accommodate differences in lengths between the surgical tool and the endoscope, which may allow a user to precisely position and maintain the distal end of a surgical tool in a desired location relative to the distal end of the endoscope despite differences and variations in lengths. The tool coupling may have an adjustable configuration to accommodate variations in tool and/or endoscope lengths. The tool coupling employ an arrangement that allows a user to easily increase or decrease the length of the coupling, such as by using a telescoping arrangement. A locking arrangement or mechanism may be provided to secure the coupling in a selected configuration for maintaining the surgical tool in a desired location relative to the endoscope. The tool coupling may be configured to generate a preload on the surgical tool when the tool is positioned in a desired location relative to the endoscope. The tool coupling may be configured to allow for the withdrawal and reintroduction of the same or a similar surgical tool without changing or impacting the original length adjustment and/or preload for the particular tool/endoscope arrangement. The tool coupling may be configured as a separate device that can be attached to various endoscopes, or the tool coupling may be an integrated component of the endoscope.
