摘要： One aspect provides a drug dispenser device comprising a housing; extending from the housing, an outlet for insertion into a body cavity of a patient; provided to the housing and moveable with respect thereto, a drug discharge device having a longitudinal axis and comprising a container for storing a drug formulation to be dispensed, a discharge mechanism and a discharge channel from the container for discharge of the drug formulation to the outlet; connecting to the container, a container collar connected to the discharge device; connecting to the container collar and moveable with respect thereto along the longitudinal axis of the drug discharge device, a transfer element, the transfer element including an actuating portion; provided to the housing, at least one finger operable member moveable to apply a force to the actuating portion of the transfer element to move the transfer element along the longitudinal axis in a first direction; linking the container collar with the transfer element, a biasing mechanism to store biasing energy on moving the transfer element along the longitudinal axis in the first direction; an actuation counter; and provided to the container collar, a pre-load mechanism to prevent transfer of the biasing energy to the container collar to both move the drug discharge device along the longitudinal axis in the first direction to actuate the discharge mechanism and also to actuate the actuation counter until a pre-determined threshold force is overcome.

摘要： There is provided a method of loading a housing for a medicament dispenser with a medicament carrier. The carrier has the form of an elongate strip and has multiple distinct medicament doses carried thereby. The carrier is particularly in the form of a peelable blister strip. In one aspect, the method comprises the steps of loading the housing with at least one leader in the form of an elongate strip such that a leading end of said at least one leader is drivably anchored within the housing and a trailing end of the at least one leader protrudes from the housing; fixing a first end of the medicament carrier to the trailing end of the at least one leader; and drivably moving the leading end of the leader such that the medicament carrier is moved into the housing.

摘要： There is provided a medicament dispenser device for the delivery of medicament powder from an open blister pocket (404a,b) of at least one blister pack (400a,b). The dispenser device comprises a housing (420) having an air inlet (470); enclosed by the housing, a dispensing mechanism (440, 448a,b) for the dispensing of medicament powder from an open blister pocket; and associated with the dispensing mechanism and in communication with the air inlet, a manifold (450). The manifold comprises a body, the body defining a chimney (452) having a chimney inlet (453) and a chimney exit (454a,b) for directing airflow (483) from said chimney inlet to said chimney exit; the body further defining a chamber (460) having a chamber inlet (473a,b) and a chamber exit (474), wherein the chimney exit and said chamber inlet lie side-by-side each other such that when said open blister pocket of said blister pack is positioned adjacent thereto said airflow may be directed from the chimney exit to the chamber inlet via the open blister pocket to entrain said medicament powder and enable transport thereof. In use, the airflow is drawn into the chimney of the manifold solely through the air inlet provided to the housing.
