    • Method of producing a network comprising: (1) receiving a list of molecules; (2) identifying all pathways, among a list of pathways stored in a pathway database, associated with the molecules contained in the received list of molecules; (3) merging all associated pathways forming pathway families; (4) identifying molecules from the received list of (1) that are statistically significantly cocited, with at least two molecules from two different pathways, thereby providing pathway pairs; (5) calculating a statistical association score for pathway pairs; (6) ranking pathway pairs by their pathway pair score; (7) defining the pathway pair having the most significant association score as the initial network; (8) identifying additional pathway pairs; (9) joining the pathway pair to the network; (10) calculating a statistical association network score for the network, preserving the network if the score is higher, otherwise discarding the pathway pair joined; (11) repeating steps (8) to (10) until no more pathway pairs can be added to the network; (12) reporting the resulting network.
