摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for impressing electromagnetic flux on a refined metal while controlling and concentrating it when the refined metal is tapped by using a copper guide tube in a metal refining apparatus etc. SOLUTION: In this method for controlling the concentration of the electromagnetic flux in a tapping guiding tube (22) of the metal refining apparatus, the tapping guiding tube is provided with a bottom plate (28), an extending part (29), a center orifice (32) through which the extending part is passed from a molten metal source to the outlet of the tapping guiding tube to guide the metal flow and an induction heating device (38) generating the electromagnetic field in the tapping guiding tube. The induction heating device is disposed in the extending part so as to form a gap between this device and the extending part, and the induction heating device and the tapping guiding tube can be moved relatively in the vertical direction and the mutual position after moving, is substantially fixed to the gap. The method for controlling the concentration of the electromagnetic flux comprises a stage for allowing current to flow through the induction heating device, a stage for generating the electromagnetic field caused by the stage for making flow of the current and a stage for introducing the electromagnetic flux into a demarcated portion in the inner shape of the center orifice at the electromagnetic flux concentration in the tapping guiding tube by responding to the stage for generating the electromagnetic field.

摘要： A casting system with auxiliary cooling onto a liquidus portion of the casting can produce a metal casting that comprises a fine-grain, homogeneous microstructure. The microstructure is essentially oxide- and sulfide-free, segregation defect free, and essentially free of voids caused by air entrapped during solidification of the metal from a liquidus state to a solid state. The casting system with auxiliary cooling onto a liquidus portion of the casting can comprises an electroslag refining system as a source of liquid metal; a nucleated casting system; and at least one cooling system that supplies coolant onto a liquidus portion of the casting. The liquidus portion of the casting is cooled in a manner sufficient to provide a casting microstructure that comprises a fine-grain, homogeneous microstructure that is essentially oxide- and sulfide-free, segregation defect free, and essentially free of voids caused by air entrapped during solidification from a liquidus state to a solid state.

In the solid metal particle adding system (200), the solid metal particles acting as the nucleation core of the casting, are added.
