    • Method for managing the SAR value, QoS, and Energy consumption through network selection scheme for Wideband CDMA networks Today people use mobile devices for various purpose such as voice call, video call, text message, multimedia message, E-Mail, online shopping, online ticket reservation, online banking, webinar, etc. To access those services, the mobile device has to get connected with any one of the nearby base station. These base stations may provide the services with different network standards and therefore every base station will get differs in bandwidth level (data speed), frequency of the signal, signal encoding scheme, packet delay, transmitting power, energy consumption, cost, etc. Also, based on the distance between the mobile and the base station the signal intensity will also get changed. The mobile devices will spend less amount of energy to reach the nearby base station and it will spend more energy to reach the base station located far away from the mobile. When the mobile device moves from one place to another place the connectivity between the base station may get lost due to poor signal strength, and for continuing the ongoing services without interruption, the mobile device has to search for the available base station located near enough to the mobile device. During the search process, the mobile device may detect multiple base stations and in this scenario, the mobile has to select any one of the available base station based the parameters such as signal strength, bandwidth, packet delay, energy consumption, network standard used, security level, etc. From the literature survey, it is observed that the radio signal used by the mobile devices may create some health issues to human beings. Also, the WHO groups the radio frequency used by the mobile device in the "possible group 2B carcinogen" and for this group, there is no proper evidence that it is safe enough or not. The impact of this radio signal on the human tissue can be measured using specific absorption rate (SAR) value. This SAR value has to be minimized to reduce the biological effect of the radio signal on the human body. This proposed network selection model is developed for selecting the right base station with minimized biological effect on the human body and with high quality of service.
