    • The invention relates to a covering device for covering a mounting recess in a cover strip of a vehicle roof. Mounting recesses of this type are, for example, provided for fastening the feet of a roof luggage carrier. The covering device is comprised of an insertion part (1), which can be positioned inside the cover strip (3), and of a hinged cover (2), which is mounted in bearing shells (7) in a manner that enables it to pivot about an axis in the longitudinal direction of the strip and which fills the recess (4) when in a closed position. Said hinged cover comprises both bearing journals (6), which are shaped thereon at both ends, as well as detent journals (11), which can be locked in an open and closed position by means of spring elements (12). These spring elements are shaped onto the insertion part (1) and act upon the detent journals (11). The hinged cover (2), when in an open position, enables an unhindered access to the recess (4) by virtue of the fact that the bearing journals (6) and detent journals (11) are shaped onto the hinged cover (2) via a U-shaped element (5), which is dimensioned in such a manner that the edge (8) of the recess (4) projects into the open space (9) of the element (5) when the hinged cover (2) is open.

    • A circuit arrangement for a multimode mobile telephone that transmits and receives signals to and from various mobile radio networks contains a baseband and a transceiver unit. The transceiver unit includes a digital adaptive predistorter having a switching element. The switching element is arranged so that an optional connection is created. The optional connection connects an amplifier output to an input of a receiver causing that receiver input to be disconnected from an antenna changeover switch. This way, it is possible for the receiver to be disconnected from a transmitting and receiving antenna during periods when the receiver is not receiving signals from the transmitting and receiving antenna. While the receiver is disconnected from the transmitting and receiving antenna, the receiver is able to receive other signals. By using a simple switch the receiver can be disconnected from the transmitting and receiving antenna, and at the same time establish a connection between the output of the transmitter amplifier and the input of the receiver. By doing so, the receiver is able to tap off and detect signals at the output of the transmitter amplifier.

    • A side strut (5) for a lower steering arm of a tractor has a single-action hydraulic cylinder and a setting unit with a hollow cylinder (17) and an adjustable setting element 20. The setting element (20) includes a threaded bore (30) which receives a threaded rod (32). The hydraulic cylinder has a first attaching element (6) to connect to a tractor. The threaded rod (32) has a second attaching element (7) to connect a lower steering arm. In the fully moved-out position of the hydraulic cylinder, the setting element (20) is rotatable by an actuating lever (33). Thus, the threaded rod (32) moves in and out. To prevent any rotation, a first holding element (36) is provided. The actuating lever (33) engages the holding element in a rest position. A second holding element (37) is provided to ensure, in those cases where the hydraulic cylinder is in a position other than the fully moved-out position, that the actuating lever (33) is held to prohibit a rotational movement of the setting element (20) relative to the hollow cylinder. The rotational movement would effect a change in the length setting.
