The front end face of the second optical fiber has a termination processing part 21a inserted in a ferrule 23, and the pair of the bare fibers is exposed on the rear end side of the termination processing part. The second optical fiber holder has a structure 10a engaged with the shape of the termination processing part. The termination processing part of the second optical fiber is engaged with the second optical fiber holder, and the pair of the bare fibers is fixed while it is projected rearward of the second optical fiber holder.
