    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the twisting property, and the like, of a coaxial cable by incorporating both right-handed and left-handed strands in a laterally-wound outer conductor of the coaxial cable.
      SOLUTION: The coaxial cable 1 has a center conductor 3, an insulating layer 7 formed at the outer periphery of the center conductor 3, an outer conductor 9 formed at the outer periphery of the insulating layer 7, and a jacket 13 covering the outer conductor 9. The outer conductor 9 at least has a laterally-wound right-handed layer 9a of a plurality of wires 11a and a laterally-wound left-handed layer 9b of a plurality of wires 11b. The twisting property, and the like, of the coaxial cable 1 is improved by this structure.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception coil which used for a nuclear magnetic resonance imaging system and whose withstand voltage characteristics is prevented from deteriorating, and also to provide its production method.
      SOLUTION: The reception coil 1 is formed by winding an insulative tape 3 with insulation (Fig. 1 (b)) around the front surface of a coil member 13 obtained by bending a thick copper plate (Fig. 1 (a)), and molding a thermoplastic resin 15 on the front surface of the tape (Fig. 1 (d)). Thus, a crack is prevented from directly reaching the coil member with the insulative tape as a barrier even when the crack is generated in the thermoplastic resin 15, for example. The withstand voltage characteristic therefor is prevented from being deteriorated in the coil member 13.
