      SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device for displaying an image by an NW (normally white) liquid crystal cell includes a liquid crystal cell driving means which has an application voltage setting part which detects a shape part of local light leakage in a display screen and its amount of light and sets application voltages per local part of the liquid crystal cell in accordance with the detection result, and is capable of changing the application voltages in a direction of light leakage suppression.
