    • Disclosed is a lens-fitted photographic film (2) unit containing a roll of unexposed photographic film (26). The lens-fitted photo film unit (2) uses a specific battery (41) of a different size or shape from conventional standardized batteries. A hollow protrusion (19a) is formed in a battery holding room. A hollow (50) of the hollow protrusion joins with a dark room for the photographic film. If the hollow protrusion (19a) is cut away with the intention to put a conventional battery in the battery holding room, the light-tightness of the dark room (45) is destroyed. When a cartridge chamber bottom lid (135) is opened to remove a film cartridge (25), an interconnection lever (138) transmits the opening movement of the lid to a sliding plate (140). Then the sliding plate (140) turns a charge switch (33) of a flash circuit (30) ON, and locks the charge switch (33) in the ON position.
