    • System and method for controlling energy consumption in a data center. An embodiment includes: segregating hot air from cold air by preventing hot air exhausted from hot aisles from flowing into cold aisles; measuring temperature and relative humidity values of the segregated hot and cold air; detecting temperature and relative humidity values of outside air; mixing the segregated hot air with a volume of the outside air, the volume of the outside air depending on a result of the measuring and the detecting; measuring temperature and relative humidity values of the mixed air; comparing the temperature and relative humidity values of the mixed air and the temperature and relative humidity values of the segregated cold air to IT specifications; cooling the mixed air based on a result of the comparison; and providing the cooled mixed air in the cold aisles.

    • A cooling management system including component racks, a cooling system, pressure measurement devices, and a computing system within a structure. Each component rack includes an exothermic apparatus. The structure includes warm air aisle spaces and cold air aisle spaces located between the component racks. The cooling system feeds cold air into each cold air aisle space. The cold air flows through the component racks resulting in displacement of warm air from each exothermic apparatus. The warm air flows into the warm air aisle spaces and is directed back to the cooling system. The pressure measurement devices measure differential pressure values between the cold air aisle spaces and the warm air aisle spaces. The computing system monitors the differential pressure values, perform calculations associated with the differential pressure values, and control a fan speed of at least one fan within the cooling system based on the calculations.

    • A system is provided for positioning a plurality of cards in an electronic module intended to be plugged into a backplane. The system includes a spacing element comprising a succession of spacers of increasing section (diameter). Spacers are arranged end to end and are preferably cylindrical. The difference of section between successive spacers forms a kind of stair step or shoulder. These successive steps position the electronic cards parallel to one another, with a predetermined spacing which corresponds to the spacing of the backplane connectors. Fastening means, such as a nut, are associated with the steps for maintaining the cards. The cards are bored so that the spacing element can be inserted and the nuts applied. The size of the hole in each card is such that the surface around the hole can be pressed against the corresponding shoulder by means of the nut installed on the opposite side.
