摘要： A method of manufacturing a sensor for in vivo applications includes the steps of providing two wafers of an electrically insulating material. A recess is formed in the first wafer, and a capacitor plate is formed in the recess of the first wafer. A second capacitor plate is formed in a corresponding region of the second wafer, and the two wafers are affixed to one another such that the first and second capacitor plates are arranged in parallel, spaced-apart relation.

摘要： The current invention discloses a food plate (1) with a glass holder 3) and a handle (2) in the middle. The person holds the plate and glass-holder combination with one hand around the handle. The handle (4) may be detachable from the plate, the glass holder, or both. The handle in the middle facilitates the food plate to be on one side, and the glass holder on the other side of the hand. Thus, the weight of the food in the plate on one side of the hand, and the weight of the drink glass in the glass holder on the other side create a balanced configuration for holding. Since the food plate is not behind the drink glass, it does not interfere with the eating of the food.

摘要： A system, apparatus, and method for processing a sample for chemical and/or biological analysis, and detecting one or more target substances. A first system of microfabricated components includes at least a reservoir and a channel, and a second system of detection components including at least a lens. The lens is focused on a sensing platform of the first system. The sensing platform is coupled to the reservoir by the channel. Various types of detection systems can be utilized with the present invention including fluorescence detection systems with a laser that is positioned to illuminate a sample in the sensing platform. The microfabricated components include one or more pumps, valves, mixers, and filters. A thermoelectric cooler can be positioned to control the temperature of at least one of the microfabricated components. A variety of component configurations can be implemented, and a variety of different processes can be performed, depending on the configuration of components. The device can also be networked with other information processing devices and share data regarding substances detected from the sample.
