摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the wiring method for an optical fiber which saves the space when many optical fibers extending out of an optical module are wired round. SOLUTION: Many optical modules are arrayed on racks 11 in stages so that they can freely be inserted and extracted, and the optical module has the 1st connection side CS1 of an optical fiber formed on one side in the insertion/extraction direction and the 2nd connection side CS2 on the other; and the optical fiber is extended out of at least the 1st connection side CS1. A single-core fiber 4 and a multicore fiber 3 are connected individually to the 1st connection side CS1 of each optical module and many single-core fibers 4 and multicore fibers 3 extended out of the 1st connection sides CS1 of many optical modules 1 are stored in mutually different storage means 12 and 13.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form a groove position with high accuracy by previously trial cutting reference grooves, reading the deviation values thereof by positioning patterns having plural graduations formed in the reference groove cutting positions and executing cutting of a normal groove by compensating these deviation values. SOLUTION: The optical waveguide parts 1 are obtd. by forming an optical waveguide 2 consisting of a quartz waveguide atop a substrate formed of a silicon wafer. The positions of the reference cutting lines 3 to be cut at the optical waveguide parts 1 are provided with the positioning patterns 4. The positioning patterns 4 are composed by having plural memories. The reference grooves which are the trial grooves are formed at the cutting lines 3 of the reference grooves of the waveguide parts 1. The normal groove is cut by moving blades upward from the cutting lines 3 in the case of formation of this groove if the reference grooves formed in the positioning patterns 4 formed in the positions of, for example, the cutting lines 3 coincide with the graduations on the left side and the walls of the reference grooves and the groove width is cut with the deviation of the center of the grooves to a lower side.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayered dielectric film filter insertable into an optical waveguide in such a manner that its filter surface is made perpendicular to this waveguide, a process for producing such filter and a structure for insertion of the multilayered dielectric film filter into the optical waveguide. SOLUTION: The multilayered dielectric films 3 broader than a substrate 2 of a (1, 1, 1) Si wafer are formed on the front surface 24 of this substrate 2 so as to overhang from the sides of the substrate 2. The end faces 21, 22 of the substrate 2 on the overhanging side of the multilayered dielectric films 3 are formed perpendicular to the film plane of the multilayered dielectric film 3. A filter insertion groove 20 having the thickness of the multilayered dielectric films 3 is formed in the optical waveguide when the multilayered dielectric film filter 1 is inserted into the optical waveguide 25. The multilayered dielectric film filter 1 is then direction lateral in such a manner that the end face 22 of the substrate 2 faces downward. The end face 22 is pressed to the front surface of the optical waveguide 25 and the overhanging part of the multilayered dielectric films 3 is inserted into the filter insertion groove 20, by which the filter surface is held perpendicular to the optical waveguide 25.
