摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten and thin an optical drop cable unit assembled cable by twisting an optical drop cable unit around a central tension body at a specified twist-back rate. SOLUTION: Plural sheets (e.g. eight cores in figure) of optical drop cable units 4 are twisted around the outer periphery of the central tension body 3 coated with a resin coat 2 such as PVC, etc., on a metallic tension body 1 such as a steel wire, etc., at the twist-back rate 100%. Further, the optical drop cable units 4 are twisted around the central tension body 3 at a twist pitch 500 mm or below. In such a manner, by thinning the outside diameter of the central tension body 3, an optical drop cable unit assembled cable is lightened. Further, by eliminating press winding, the outside diameter of the optical drop cable unit assembled cable is thinned.

SOLUTION: A plug body 14 is provided with core clamping storage parts 17, in which terminal parts of respective drop cables 4 stored in the collective drop cable 1 are stored, one by one. While the terminal part of the drop cable 4 is stored in the core clamping storage part 17, the plug body 14 is fitted tightly in an end opening of a sheath 2 to press, clamp, and fix the terminal part of each drop cable 4 in the core clamping storage part 17. When a drop cable 4 is led out of the laid collective drop cable 1 and wired, the drop cable 4 is drawn a little strongly out of a hole bored in the sheath 2 and the terminal part is detached from the core clamping storage part 17 and led out, and then wired to a desired place.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the transmission loss increase of optical fiber by setting the inverting angle of SZ groove of spacer with groove into specified value and housing a tapered optical fiber core into the groove in a specified state. SOLUTION: An optical fiber cable is provided with a spacer 11 with groove having an SZ helical groove 13, whose helical direction is cyclically inverted, around the outer periphery. At a central part between the inverted parts of groove 13, a tapered optical fiber core 17 is housed in the groove 13 while turning the tapered surface toward the bottom of the groove. At the inverted part of the groove 13, the core 17 is housed in the groove 13 while turning the tapered side edge toward the bottom of the groove. The inverting angle of the groove 13 is set larger than 180 deg.. The width and depth of the groove 13 are set into certain dimensions so that the laminated body of core 17 can be rotated inside the groove 13. Opening part width W2 , of the groove 13 at the inverted part is formed narrower than an opening part W1 of the groove 13 at the central part between the inverted parts. The depth of the groove 13 is fixed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress increase of an optical loss of an optical fiber coated fiber. SOLUTION: Tensile strength members 4 and a coating layer 5 are coupled with coupling strength to make extraction force for extracting the tensile strength member 4 get to 50 (N/50 mm) or more. When an optical fiber cable 1 is led in a conduit line to be laid, the coating layer 5 of the fiber cable 1 is rubbed against an inner wall face of the conduit line. When the extraction force of the tensile strength member 4 is less than 50 (N/50 mm), the coating layer 5 is shifted from the tensile strength members 4 because of friction against the inner wall face of the conduit line to generate deviation in the coating layer 5, and optical fiber coated fibers 6 are also deviated in accompaniment with the deviation of the coating layer 5 to increase an optical loss. But, as the tensile strength members 4 and the layer 5 are coupled with the couping strength of 50 (N/50 mm) or more, the deviation of the coating layer 5 is prevented from being generated at the time of laying the optical fiber cable 1, so as to restrain the optical loss of the optical fiber coated fiber 6 from increasing.

Even if the pipe cable 10 is applied with external pressure by stapling, straddling, human stepping, etc., this external pressure is applied to the high pressure reception parts 18 and 18' at positions off the running pipe 14, which is not pressed to collapse.

Then, these recesses 20 are formed only on the outside surface 16A of the sheath 16 on the side where the hollow layer 18 is formed and are formed between the adjacent hollow layer 18 intermittently and hermetically formed in the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber cable 10 and, therefore, the positions of the hollow layers 18 are easily recognized by these recesses 20.
