摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent bumping of a working liquid inside a pipe even when the bore of the pipe is small and to enable proper control of the quantity of the working liquid sealed in, by a method wherein, with a sealed part in one end of the pipe directed downward, the upper end part thereof is sealed, while the upper portion of the pipe in the vicinity of the surface of the working liquid inside the pipe is heated to the boiling point of the working liquid or above. SOLUTION: The lower end part 1a of a pipe made of steel is sealed by welding or the like and a working liquid 2 is injected into the pipe 1. A pipe holding hole 17 which holds the pipe 1 vertically is provided in a heat pipe heating part 12 of heating equipment 10, while a hot air generating part 11 and the heat pipe heating part 12 are connected by an air sending pipe 18 and an air discharge pipe 19, and the pipe 1 containing the working liquid 2 injected therein is fitted in the pipe holding hole 17, being held vertically. A part 1c of the pipe 1 to be heated is set near and above the surface of the working liquid 2 approximately, and while the part is heated to the boiling point of the working liquid or above, the upper open end part 1b of the pipe 1 is sealed by calking and welded. Thereby a heat pipe is manufactured.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength locker module and a method of stabilizing the light emitting wavelength of laser light source using the module to cover a plurality of wavelength-multiplexed signal light rays so as to make the module suitable for WDM communication. SOLUTION: Measuring light constituting part of the signal light ray from a DFB laser light source 10 is emitted from the end face of an optical fiber 16 and transformed into parallel light rays through a collimator lens 20. After the parallel light rays are divided into two parts through a roof prism 22, one part of the divided parallel light rays is made incident to a photodiode PD1 through an etalon 24 and outputs a current signal I 1 . At the same time, the other part is made incident directly to another photodiode PD2 and outputs another current signal I 2 . The current signals I 1 and I 2 are inputted to a control circuit 26. The circuit 26 detects the current signal I 1 corresponding to the quantity of light transmitted through the etalon 24 and the current signal I 2 -I 1 corresponding to a light quantity equivalent to the quantity of reflected light, and calculates the fluctuation of the light emitting wavelength of the light source 10 based on the current signals I 1 and I 2 -I 1 . The prism 3 is a roof type prism 3 wherein two inclined surfaces 3a, 3b having angles θ1 of e.g. 25 deg. are formed in a roof shape. Branched lights having little influence of polarization dependent loss by the incident light branching with the prism 3 are detected with the photodiodes 4, 5.
