    • A radio communication apparatus is provided that enables degradation of error rate performance due to puncturing to be minimized when an LDPC code is used as an error correcting code. In this apparatus, a padding bit insertion section (101) inserts padding bits in a transmission bit sequence based on a parity check matrix, and outputs the generated bit sequence to an LDPC encoding section (102). Using the parity check matrix, LDPC encoding section (102) performs LDPC encoding on the bit sequence input from padding bit insertion section (101), and obtains an LDPC codeword composed of systematic bits and parity bits. Then a puncturing section (103) eliminates padding bits from the LDPC codeword input from LDPC encoding section (102), and also punctures parity bits in the LDPC codeword in order starting from a parity bit corresponding to a variable node forwhiehthe total number of connections to padding bits via check nodes is larger.

    • PURPOSE:To facilitate car storing by orienting the roller conveyor of a turn table in the cross direction of a car when placing the car on the pallet of the turn table, and moving the car in the cross direction of the car when delivering the car to an elevator. CONSTITUTION:A pallet 8 is oriented in the direction X of the depth of a housing and a roller conveyor 6 is oriented in the direction Y of the opening of the housing so that a car 1 is placed on the pallet 8 of a turn table 2. Next, the car 1 is delivered from the table 2 to an elevator 3 by driving of the respective roller conveyors 6, 7 of the table 2 and the elevator 3 as the car 1 is oriented in the direction Y by rotation of the table 2 through 90 degrees. Then the elevator 3 is lifted, and when the elevator arrives at a predetermined floor the car 1 is delivered to a truck 10 by driving of the roller conveyors 12, 13, and is moved to a parking position 9. Even with a housing of small depth, car storing is thus facilitated.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the vacant pallet storing device or a sky parking lot by extending an elevator shaft to the underground space of a building, and providing racks adjacent the elevator shaft for storing vacant pallets, and providing roller conveyors, and lifting and lowering vacant pallets by means of an elevator. CONSTITUTION:A roller 10 is pressed against the lower face of a pallet 15 between a truck 17 and a parking position 2, and the pallet 15 and a car 1 are taken out by the roller 10 and are placed on the truck 17 by a roller conveyor 20. The car 1 is delivered to an elevator 4 and is then lowered to a first floor and delivered to a turn table 3. Next, a vacant pallet 15 is delivered from the turn table 3 to the elevator A and the elevator 4 is lowered and is adjusted to a specific rack 14 and roller conveyors 7, 16 are driven so that the vacant pallet 15 is stored in the rack 14. The device is thus used for both purposes, whereby the cost of the device is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To lower the manufacturing cost and facilitate the maintenance of a device for conveying vehicle of three-dimensional parking lot by enabling conveyors provided on the second floor and above to be moved by means of a driving mechanism consisting of a cylinder, etc., and claws provided on an elevator. CONSTITUTION:A driving mechanism consisting of a cylinder 25, two pairs of right/left pulleys 26, timing belts 28, linking members 29, etc., are provided on an elevator 2 to move the pairs of mutually opposite right/left carriages 24, 24 having claws 22 mutually in the reverse directions. By moving the carriages 24 through the operation of the driving mechanism, the claws 22 are engaged with conveyors 9 provided on the second floor and above via projections 35. Hence, there is no need of providing a pair of cylinders for each body frame 19 enabling a pallet 5 on which a vehicle is loaded to be conveyed to and from a specific parking position by means of the single driving mechanism.
