摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a work efficiency and also to enhance the housing efficiency of surpus lengths of optical fibers by enabling a surpus length housing body to be taken out to the outside from the takeoff opened at the side part of a module main body to facilitate connecting works. SOLUTION: At the time of the connection work of optical fibers 44, 110 each other, a surpus housing body 102 is pulled out to the outside of a module main body 101 and fusion splicing parts and connection surpus lengths of the both optical fibers 44, 110 are housed in a desired place and the surpus housing body 102 in which the housing work is completed is housed in the module main body 101 from a takeoff 112. At this time, optical fibers 44 are housed in an area being in the inside of a partition wall 115 from an inserting hole 122 by being made so as not to be twisted. Besides, the optical fiber 110 of an optical coupler 108 is previously housed in an optical branching module 100 at the time of assembling an optical wiring rack 24 and at the time of the fusion work, a surpus length for fusion working which is previously conserved from the surpus housing body 102 taken out from the module main body 101 is unwound to be used and the surpus length is rehoused after the fusion work.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase designing flexibility and packaging density for mounting devices by arranging terminal plates of loading frames along the same plane facing a rear of a frame. SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a frame 22, a plurality of loading frames 23 for supporting light devices and control system equipment mounted and loaded inside the frame 22 at a fixed position of the frame 22, and a wiring part 32 set at a side of the frame 22 where a power source cord 36 and a control cord 37 are installed. A back board 35d as a terminal plate is fixed at a rear side of the loading frame 23, to which a fiber-optic cord 31, an optical connector and a connector connected to the light devices and control system equipment loaded in the loading frame 23 are fitted. The back board 35d is separated from an equipment-loading part and covers the whole rear face of the loading frame 23. The cord 31 connected to the light devices and control system equipment loaded in the loading frame 23 is connected to the cords 36, 37 via the back board 23d.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize multiple-fiber and high-density constitution with simple constitution by decentralizing optical fibers into decentralized optical fibers in an optical wiring rack for decentralization and optically connecting the decentralized optical fibers to optical fibers led out of an optical cable in an optical wiring rack for connection so that they can be switched. This intermediate rack 2 is used to concentrate all optical fiber cords 106 led out of the transmission device 1 into the intermediate rack 2, decentralize coated optical fibers by four times by respective decentralizing modules 50 provided in the intermediate rack 2, and connect them to the FTM 3. Thus, the decentralized optical fibers 2 are optically connected to the optical fibers 4 led out of the optical cables in the optical wiring rack 3 so that they can be switched.

SOLUTION: The extra length housing tray 20 for housing the extra lengths 6 of optical fibers is fixed to a mounting shelf 5 to be mounted with optical wiring apparatus 4. This extra length housing tray 20 is composed of a bottom plate 22 having the length to allow placing of the plural extra length parts 6 of the optical fibers and regulating walls 24 erected at both ends in the transverse direction of this bottom plate 22. The respective regulating walls 24 are formed of erecting plates and top plates to a hook shape in section. The bottom plates 22 are projectingly provided with the detaining pieces 26 of the extra length parts 6 at intervals. The extra length housing tray 20 is fixed to the mounting shelf 5 by the erecting plate of the one regulating wall 24.

Those operations are performed while the optical branching module 20 is mounted on a working jig which is freely attached to and detached from the optical wiring rack.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To subject a set of light beam paths simultaneously to an optical pulse test by connecting a set of light beam paths selected from a plurality of light beam paths with the outgoing end of a photocoupler, delivering a test optical pulse from one incoming end of the photocoupler and then multiplexing reflected waves through the photocoupler. SOLUTION: A termination cable 412 having an ordinary optical filter 410 is connected through a connector with a part immediate in front of a transmitter 30, i.e., the user side end part of optical branches 41A, 41B. The optical filter 410 comprises a dielectric multilayer filter passing the wavelength of communication light but reflecting the wavelength of optical pulse test light. In case of only the optical branch 41A or 41B, peaks A', B' due to reflected light appear at the positions of OTDR waveform corresponding to the optical filter 410. In case of both optical branches 41A and 41B, reflected waves are multiplexed and the peaks A', B' appear at two positions. When the optical branch 41A is broken at point X, an abnormal waveform X' appears and the peak A' disappears to leave only the peak B'. Consequently, the faulty optical branch 41A can be specified.

During the pulling-out operation of the section 32, the pulling-out extra-length located in the pulling-out extra-length storage section is pulled out with the movement of the section 32. Conversely, during the pushing-in operation of the section 32 into the extended section, a loosen condition is resulted as the entering movement of the section 32 into the extended section is made. In this case, a pulling- out extra-length processing member deals with the loosen condition to eliminate tangling during the extension and contraction.
