    • A miniature video magnetic tape cassette which is easy to assemble. An opening is formed in a front part of a cassette body which is covered by a guard panel, with the guard panel being swingably supported on the cassette body by shafts protruding from an inner surface of the side walls of the guard panel fitted into openings in the cassette body. A coil spring is supported on each supporting shaft with one end of each spring engaged with the guard panel to urge the guard panel toward the closed position of the opening. The other end of each coil spring is held by a locking structure provided on an inner surface adjacent to side wall of the upper half of the cassette body. The locking structure may be a locking shaft with the other end of the coil spring engaged with the locking shaft. Otherwise, the locking structure can be formed by a gap between the side wall of the upper half of the cassette and a supporting side wall inwardly thereof, in which case the other end of the coil spring is inserted into the gap and fixedly held therein with a block fitted in the gap.

    • A feed table and a receiving table respectively having top surfaces which are flush with each other are positioned spaced from each other by a very small distance. A magnetic recording tape is fed along the top surface of the feed table toward the receiving table to extend over the top surface of the receiving table across the space between the tables, and is fixed to the top surfaces of the tables. A cutting edge is inserted into the space between the tables to cut the recording tape. A leader tape is fed along the top surface of the feed table toward the receiving table to extend over the top surface of the receiving table across the space between the tables by a predetermined length, and is fixed to the top surfaces of the tables. Then the cutting edge is inserted into the space to sever a leader tape piece having a predetermined length from the leader tape. The receiving table is moved with respect to the feed table in the lateral direction of the tapes so that the leader tape piece held on the receiving table is aligned with the part of the recording tape held on the feed table. Further the receiving table is moved in the longitudinal direction of the tapes to adjust the space between the opposed ends of the leader tape piece and the recording tape to an optimal value, and subsequently a splicing tape piece is applied to the opposed end portions of the leader tape piece and the recording tape.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent damage by pressing the 1st touch belt and the 2nd touch belt into contact with a magnetic tape winding body at a point near a reel winding point of a magnetic tape and at a position opposite to the 1st touch belt while clipping a reel core. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic tape decorative winding device is formed as a ring by using an elastic member, and the 1st touch belt 4a tensed among plural rollers 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b and turned endless is pressed into contact with the magnetic tape winding body in the vicinity of the reel winding point of the magnetic tape 1, and the 2nd touch belt 4b almost the same as the 1st touch belt 4a is pressed into contact with the magnetic tape winding body at a position almost opposite to the 1st touch belt 4a while clipping the reel core 2a. Through the constitution above, even if the pressing force of the touch belt is not set largely, a sufficient width directional movement regulating effect is obtained and damage to the magnetic tape is prevented.

Thus, the breakage of tape and the damage of tape edge are prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To stably wind up a tape at a low cost, by carrying out the switching of tape speed when the count value of a counter which initiates to count simultaneously with the start of tape winding, coincides with each of predetermined values corresponding to the last transition point and last transition final point. CONSTITUTION:In a method of winding a tape with the use of a tape winding device comprising one tape reel 1 for feeding out a tape 12 and another tape reel 2 for winding up the tape 12 in a predetermined length, the switching of tape speed at a last trasition point at which the wind-up speed is shifted to its last transient zone from its constant high speed and at last transition final point at which the tape speed is shifted to a stop or a preliminary stop zone from the last transition zone, is carried out when a comparator 7 detects that the count value of a counter 6 which initiates to count simultaneously with the start of tape winding, conincedes with each of predetermined values corresponding to the last transient point and the last transient final point. That is, an analog reference value corresponding to the switching point of tape speed and a comparator circuit therefor which are conventionally used may be eliminated, thereby the circuit for switching the tape speed is simplified and a reduction in cost may be expected.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the shape of winding and eliminate bad influences on performance of a tape given by a magnetic field by applying a magnetic field that gives energizing force in a fixed direction to a magnetic tape and taking up the tape, and degassing just before termination of take-up or after termination of take-up. CONSTITUTION:A doughnut-shaped electromagnet 19 is attached to the body of a take-up device supported by a support 20 around the center shaft 4 of a tape reel 2 that takes up a magnetic tape T. The electromagnet 19 is made by winding a coil 19a on the outer periphery of a cylindrical iron core 19b. At the time of taking up the magnetic tape T, allowing DC current to flow in the coil 19a. The magnetic tape T is attracted to the electromagnet 19 side and rolled in to make the side edge come into contact with a flange 2a of the magnet side, and wound without causing deviation of winding in the direction of width of the tape. Current applied to the electromagnet 19 is switched to AC current just before termination of take-up or after termination of take-up, and the magnetic tape T is degaussed by reducing the amount of current gradually.

    • PURPOSE: To set an interval between tapes to be butted to an optimum value at all times by moving minutely at least one tape out of two tapes in the tape lengthwise direction so as to finely adjust the interval between a magnetic tape and a reader tape.
      CONSTITUTION: In the device used for this method, a bearer table 12 is moved minutely by an air cylinder 19 and a stopper 15 so as to increase the interval between the magnetic tape 22 and the reader tape 23. Further, in this case, the minute amount of the bearer table 12 is obtained experimentally and by experience so as to set the interval between both the tapes 22 and 23 to a desired value, and the butting interval between both the tapes 22, 23 is set to an optimum value at all times by giving the minute amount obtained in this way.
