摘要： A solar concentrator 2 comprises a bowl-shaped reflector 4 having a reflective inner surface 6 and an aperture 10 extending through the centre of its base. In a further aspect, a reflector forms a substantially circular paraboloid about an axis, where at least a portion of the paraboloid is facetted. In a still further aspect, a solar concentrator comprises a plurality of petals 12 each comprising two spaced apart lateral edges with interlocking tabs 14 distributed along each lateral edge, where the petals are engaged and juxtaposed at their lateral side edges so as to form a bowl-shaped reflector. In another aspect, a support means for supporting a cooking vessel 8 within a reflector is provided, where the support means comprise two spaced apart supports 40 connected to the reflector and extending across the reflector. In an alternative aspect, support means are provided at a position generally coincident with the combined centre of gravity of a reflector and the support means. In an additional aspect, mounting means 24, 26 for supporting and positioning a reflector with respect to the Sun are provided, where the mounting means are arranged to permit movement of the reflector in elevation up to 120Â° only.
