摘要： In a sinusoidal audio encoder it is known to use different time scales for analyzing different parts of the frequency spectrum. In prior art encoders sub-band filtering is used to split the input signal into a number of sub bands. By splitting the input signal into sub-bands, it can happen that a signal component at the boundary of two sub-bands results in a representation in both sub-band signals. This double representation of signal components can lead to several problems when coding these components. According to the present invention it is proposed to use preventing means (46, 48, 58, 68; 88, 92, 96) to avoid signal components to have multiple representations.

摘要： Low-pressure mercury vapour discharge lamp is provided with a discharge vessel (10) and a first and a second end portion (12a; 12b). The discharge vessel (10) encloses a discharge space (13) provided with a filling of mercury and a rare gas in a gastight manner. Each end portion (12a; 12b) supports an electrode (20a; 20b) which is arranged in the discharge space (13). Preferably, the shield (15a; 15b) is attached to the current supply conductors (30a, 30a'; 30b, 30b'). The lamp according to the invention has a comparatively low mercury consumption.

摘要： Coding of an audio signal (x) is provided where the coded bitstream (AS) comprises a parametric representation of the audio signal. One component of the parametric representation comprises tracks of linked sinusoidal components (CS) where subsequently linked components are coded differentially from parameters of linked signal components already determined. The coder scrambles ( 18 ) the differentially encoded frequency and/or amplitude values by mapping the differential values onto other differential values (CSe). By modifying these values, the bit-stream is still decode-able but results in tracks with random frequency and/or amplitude variation. Consequently, the signal will be degraded.

According to the invention the calculating unit 120 is adapted to calculate the similarity matrix S by additionally considering information about the phase consistency between the components of the extended previous segment sp and the extended current segment sc. In that way the selection of components suitable for being linked together is improved resulting in the definition of correct tracks.

摘要： A frame structure is provided for streaming A/V data providing improved protecting and opportunities for concealing errors. The frame structure includes a header block and a plurality of sub-blocks. Each of the sub-blocks includes digitally encoded audio/video data corresponding to predetermined consecutive periods of the A/V signal. The sub-blocks are generally of variable length. For the header block and each of the sub-blocks a respective associated error protecting code is present in the frame for protecting the associated block during transmission. The header block also includes a location information field that provides information on the location of at least one of the sub-blocks in the frame.
