摘要： The food product: machine with a food supply, a rotary food pump connected to the food supply, a molding mechanism having a mold plate and a knockout drive, and a mold plate reciprocating between a fill and a discharge position. The knockout drive reciprocates a knockout plunger to discharge molded food products from the mold plate, the mold plate being reciprocated between a cavity fill position and a cavity discharge position. The machine includes a manifold connected an outlet of the food pump and having an outlet passageway connected to an inlet of the molding mechanism for filling the cavity of the mold plate. The machine can further include a fill plunger system for increasing the fill pressure of the food mass prior to filling the mold cavities. Plungers extend into the manifold to displace food mass volume and increase the pressure in the manifold.

The machine also includes a servomotor dnven knockout apparatus wherein the servomotor dnves a cam and lever arrangement. A food system uses an integrated and compact motor and gearbox assemblies to dnve the feed screws, and modular bearing assemblies on the shafts of the feed screws. The feed screws have heavy wall thickness flights. A sealed drum motor housed in the dnve roller dnves the hopper conveyor. The food system utilizes independent sensing means for indicating whenever the moldable food material accumulated at said one end of the hopper exceeds a given level. The cooling system with two fans and automatically closing dampers is improved and its placement and arrangement within the machine is optimized to save space and improve circulation.

The high speed patty forming machine provides patties at a high production speed onto an output conveyor portion. The patty presser includes an upper conveyor having an upper endless belt. The upper conveyor is located above the output conveyor, wherein facing belt surfaces of the upper and lower endless belts define a path between the upper and lower conveyors. The upper conveyor has a tilted section such that a first clearance at an input to the path is equal to or greater than a thickness of the patties and a second clearance at an outlet of the inlet length is less than a thickness of the patties at the input of the path. A shuttle conveyor is arranged at, the output of the path and delivers patties to an indexing packaging machine.

A tooling set for the modification includes a dedicated drawbar configured to mount the smaller mold plate and modified wider spacers to closely meet the smaller mold plate within the forming machine. An adapter system selectively mounts either a first mold plate having a first set of keyholes or a second mold plate having a second set of keyholes, different than the first set of keyholes to a single reciprocating mold plate patty-forming machine. The adapter system can include first and second sets of adapters and a drawbar having provision for connection at opposite ends to driving rods of the drive system. The first set of adapters have keys corresponding to the first set of keyholes, and the second set of adapters having keys corresponding to the second set of keyholes, the first and second set of adapters being selectively attached to the drawbar.

The machine provide s a swing out electrical enclosure and chassis and uses modular I/O blocks t o communicate between machine control and the solenoids.
