摘要： A foaming agent is disclosed for aqueous solutions including full strength solutions of herbicide, insecticide, and fungicide formulations, liquid fertilizers, and soil fungicides. The foaming agent composition comprises (I), wherein each ingredient can be varied by about ± 2 %. Also disclosed are foamed pesticide solutions formed from the combination of a pesticide solution and the above foaming agent. The foaming agent is stable as a tank additive.

摘要： A method is set forth of controlling pests such as termites. The method comprises mixing a residual pesticide with a foaming agent, water and air to produce a temporary non-solidifying pesticidal foam having an expansion ratio, defined as the ratio of the final foam volume to the sum of the volumes of the pesticide, the foaming agent and the water, of between 20 to 1 and 5 to 1. The foam is applied at a locus whereby it contacts a surface which defines the locus, and thereafter deposits the pesticide on the surface and dissipates, so as to provide residual pesticidal action on the surface.

摘要： Pest infestation along a building perimeter is controlled without creating airborne liquid droplets which contain pesticide. This is accomplished by generating a wet foam comprising gas filled bubbles through nozzle (101). The foam is formed from a liquid which includes a surfactant composition and a pesticide with the liquid being entrained by the bubbles. The foam to liquid volume ratio of 2:1 to 8:1, a flowability of no more than 13 seconds and dissipates in no more than about 20 minutes. The foam is deposited onto the building perimeter (P) (including the surrounding ground surface) so as to provide a desired degree of pest control. Uniform coverage and filling of cracks and crevices results.

It concurrently distributes the foam into the soil (104) as the foam is injected resulting in an improved uniformity of distribution of soil additive in soil (104). The device comprises a tubular structure (106) which mounts into the soil (104) from a vehicle (108). It has first (106) and second (114) portions, leading (116) and trailing (118) portions, a lumen (120) along its length, lateral portions (122, 124) and a plurality of spaced apart ports (126). Each port (126) communicates the lumen (120) with the trailing portion (118). Foam flowing out the ports (126) moves backwardly. A shank structure (132) precedes and shields the leading portion (116) of the member (106). The shank structure (132) has a forward facing portion (134) adapted to cut through the soil (104). The shank structure (132) and member (106) are motivated by the vehicle (108) in a forward direction through the soil (104).
