    • A light attachment that can be readily mounted on a variety of tools and tool support fixtures and other support structures includes a light portion supported on a mounting portion by a flexible gooseneck cable. The mounting portion includes a housing that defines a male-female attachment element configured to slidingly mate with a complementary attachment element formed on the body of the power tool. In a preferred embodiment, the attachment element has a dovetail shape for sliding engagement within a complementary shaped notch in the body of the tool. The housing contains a power source for the light portion. The light portion incorporates an on-off switch that is actuated by rotating a component that is threadedly engaged within the housing. The housing supports a printed circuit board to which the power supply wires are attached. The circuit board also carries a spring contact switch element that completes an electrical circuit to energize the light portion when the spring contact is pressed against the circuit board. Power is supplied through the circuit board and switch to an LED light element. The LED is disposed within the housing so that the rotatable component can push the base of the LED into the spring switch to close the electrical circuit.

    • An assembly is provided that may be supported on or above a variety of work surfaces and that is adapted to support a workpiece or a tool in a wide range of orientations. The assembly comprises a vise apparatus including (i) a first clamping component, (ii) a second clamping component, and (iii) a slide bar possessing a polygonal-shaped outer surface, the slide bar being at least partially interposed between the first clamping component and the second clamping component.     • A battery-powered hand-tool, such as a battery-powered drill, battery-powered screwdriver or the like, has a tool mechanism housing, advantageously having a connected handle in one piece with the tool mechanism housing, a battery housing and an effective locking connection device for locking the battery housing together with the tool mechanism housing. The locking connection device has lock elements on the tool mechanism housing, which engage under suitable lock catches on opposite side walls of the battery housing. To provide a simplified structure for the lock connection device which permits an easy and economical manufacture of the hand-tool, the lock elements include a resilient U-shaped clasp member mounted on tool mechanism housing. The lock catches engage over both U-legs in the locked state of the locking connection means.
