    • Exemplary embodiments relate to methods, systems, and computer program products for providing a scheduler for multiple parties. Methods include receiving information indicating requested attendees and a duration for a meeting from a requestor. A storage device containing available time slots and meeting preferences for the requested attendees is accessed. One or more meeting time slots are determined based on the duration, the available time slots and the meeting preferences. An overall match score for each of the meeting time slots is calculated using the meeting time slot and the meeting preferences as input. A list including the meeting time slots and the associated overall match scores is created. The list is transmitted to the requestor.

    • In a method of controlling the power state of a peripheral device, the peripheral is changed from a first power state to a second power state in response to communications across a network connected to the peripheral indicating that a user is proximately located to the peripheral. A user may be determined to be proximately located to the peripheral by monitoring communications across the network to detect traffic that is associated with a user logging onto a computer that can utilize the peripheral, by discovering a wireless terminal that is associated with a user and which is proximately located to the peripheral, by receiving information from a cellular communication network across the network that indicates that a user of the peripheral is proximately located to the peripheral, and/or in response to a time of day and/or day of week/month schedule.

    • Advertising is tailored based on usage patterns of a portable electronic device are provided including determining if a portable electronic device has entered an area associated with a local area network (LAN). A link is established between the portable electronic device and the LAN if it is determined that the portable electronic device has entered the area associated with the LAN. User services are established between the portable electronic device and a remote server using the established link based on a user profile associated with the portable electronic device. Devices associated with the remote server communicatively coupled to the LAN are controlled using the portable electronic device. Actions and/or behaviors of a user are tracked based on use of the portable electronic device. Advertisements are displayed and/or played on at least one of the controlled devices based on the tracked user actions and/or behaviors.
