摘要： Isolation of extension code by processes in an application is described. In an implementation, execution of one or more processes is managed that contain content received via a network by another process of a single application that includes the one or more processes. The management includes terminating the one or more processes when not responsive. Execution of the one or more processes is isolated from the other process such that when the one or more processes are not responsive the other process remains responsive. The content in the terminated one or more processes is then recovered.

摘要： A client application, such as an HTTP client, stores script profile data associated with JavaScript compilation as metadata in a cache, such as an HTTP indexed cache, for a given entry. Accessing the indexed data can be performed much faster without incurring additional disk input/output operations, thus facilitating compilation activities. In addition, an identifier such as the script URL can be used to efficiently enable compilation across websites that commonly utilize the same JavaScript.

A system includes a memory area storing the first component object, the second component object, and one or more predefined properties associated with the second component object. The system comprises a processor configured to receive a request from the first component object stored in the memory area to create the second component object stored in the memory area. The first component object executes in a first execution environment and the request specifies a requested execution environment for the second component object. The processor is also configured for analyzing the predefined properties stored in the memory area to determine an execution environment privilege associated with the second component object. 摘要： A computer-implemented browser on a client computer that requests electronic documents from a server computer over a computer network and displays friendly error messages or pages when an error is detected. The browser analyzes a response returned to the client computer from the server computer to determine whether an error occurred using information in the header of the response. If an error is detected, the browser analyzes the response to determine whether the response comprises a friendly error page. If not, the browser replaces the page returned in the response with a friendly page in that the browser displays a page separate from the page returned with the response. The replacement page is designed to be more user friendly.
