SOLUTION: Each of chain rings which are connected to each other to constitute the chain is composed of metal-made reinforcement piece 40 excellent in tensile strength and a synthetic resin-made wrapping member with which the whole of the reinforcement piece 40 is covered and which is excellent in corrosion resistance. The wrapping member is composed of an outside chain ring piece 60 and an inside chain ring piece 50. The chain ring is formed by inserting the reinforcement piece 40 into the inside 65 of a peripheral wall 63 of the outside chain ring piece 60 and fitting the inside chain ring piece 50 to the inserted reinforcement piece from its outside to integrate them into one body.
