摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant capable of deodorizing a plurality of malodorous components efficiently with one or two mixed chemicals and to provide a deodorizing method using the deodorant. SOLUTION: This deodorant is obtained by mixing at least two kinds of chemical-stuck spherical carbide or activated carbon with one another, mixing acid-stuck spherical carbide or activated carbon with halogen compound-stuck carbide or activated carbon, mixing chemical-stuck carbide or activated carbon with iron-based desulfurizing agent, sticking a metal compound to carbide or activated carbon or sticking the metal compound and a halogen compound to carbide or activated carbon. It is preferable that this deodorant is spherical and has 2-10 mm effective diameter, ≤1.4 coefficient of homogeneity, 500-2,000 m 2 /g BET specific surface area, 40-60% porosity and ≥80% fixed carbon content. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological deodorization method and an apparatus therefor capable of maintaining a stable deodorization performance for a long period by using inexpensive and convenient method. SOLUTION: In the biological deodorization method, circulation water 5 is brought into contact with malodorous gas 1 containing hydrogen sulfide and the malodorous gas is biologically deodorized in a packed bed 4 where carriers for carrying micro-organisms are packed. Therein, the circulation water of which pH is controlled in the range 1-3 and the malodorous gas are allowed to flow down in parallel in the packed bed. Excess sludge in the packed bed which is produced by the deodorization is discharged by allowing the water containing a chemical to contact with the packed bed periodically. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological deodorizer that can stably remove malodorants without clogging packing layers with accumulated sludge. SOLUTION: In the deodorizer having a packing layer 7 packed with a carrier for depositing microbes and a water sprinkler 5 that sprinkles the packing layer 7 with water and biologically deodorizing odorous gas, a flow regulation plate 9 for preventing the channelling of the gas is provided on the bottom and/or the top of the packing layer 7. The odorous gas contains one of methyl mercaptan, methyl sulfide, and methyl disulfide, the flow regulation plate 9 has a structure in which a pressure loss of 10-1,000 Pa arises by the passed gas, its opening ratio is 0.5-10%, the packing layer 7 desirably has a packing structure in which a pressure loss of a max 300 Pa arises by the passed gas, and the flow regulation plate 9 may be equipped with a sprinkler 11 for blockage prevention.
