    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of reinforcing a structure such as a concrete structure or a steel structure facilitating construction by reducing the use of a steel material, and anchoring reinforcing fiber sheets with lightweight structure. SOLUTION: In the method of reinforcing the structure by sticking a plurality of reinforcing fiber sheets 1 to a sticking surface 101 of the structure 100 with an adhesive, the ends of the plurality of reinforcing fiber sheets 1 stuck to the sticking surface 101 of the structure 100 are separated into a plurality of layers in predetermined number from the reinforcing fiber sheet 1 on the opposite side to the sticking surface side of the concrete structure 100 to the reinforcing fiber sheet 1 on the sticking surface side, and the respective layer-separated ends in the predetermined number of the split reinforcing fiber sheets 1 are wound around a plurality of rod-like anchor bodies 20 arranged orthogonally to the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing fiber sheets in different positions along the longitudinal direction of the reinforcing fiber sheets 1, and bonded with an adhesive.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorbing member, simply protecting the periphery of a post in placing concrete or the like under an elevated road, and utilized intact as edge cutting to secure earthquake-resisting performance of a post of the elevated bridge.
      SOLUTION: This shock absorbing unit for a viaduct includes: a flexible block 11 disposed in the periphery of a post 1 and having plasticity or elasticity; and a surface layer member 1 fitted to the top face of the flexible block, wherein the flexible block is buried to expose the surface layer member 11 on the ground surface. In paving the periphery of the post, the shock absorbing unit for the viaduct serves as a form so that flooring material such as concrete does not closely adhere to the post, whereby the post can secure original earthquake resisting performance without being constrained by the flooring material to prevent breakage of the post itself.
