摘要： This invention relates to a process to polymerize olefins comprising contacting, in a polymerization system, olefins having three or more carbon atoms with a catalyst compound, activator, optionally comonomer, and optionally diluent or solvent, at a temperature above the cloud point temperature of the polymerization system and a pressure no lower than 10MPa below the cloud point pressure of the polymerization system, where the polymerization system comprises any comonomer present, any diluent or solvent present, the polymer product, where the olefins having three or more carbon atoms are present at 40 weight % or more. This invention also relates to polymers produced herein including a propylene polymer having a 1,3 regio defect population of greater than 5 per 10,000 monomer units, a melting point of 70°C or more, a g' of 0.97 or more and an Mw greater than 10,000.

摘要： A process is described for producing a polymer blend comprising (a) a first polymer component comprising a crystalline propylene polymer and (b) a second polymer component comprising a copolymer of propylene with at least one comonomer, wherein the copolymer comprises between about 7 wt% and about 28 wt% of comonomer and the copolymer has a heat of fusion of 0.5 to 70 J/g and an mm triad tacticity of 75% or greater. The process comprises polymerizing propylene under first polymerization conditions in a polymerization reaction zone to produce a first effluent comprising a crystalline propylene polymer containing no more than 10% by weight of other monomers, the first polymerization conditions comprising a first reaction temperature between about 500C and about 100°C. Propylene is then copolymerized with at least one comonomer under second polymerization conditions in the presence of a metallocene catalyst and at least part of said first effluent in a slurry polymerization reaction zone to produce the second polymer component as a blend with the first polymer component, the second polymerization conditions comprising a second reaction temperature at least 7°C less than the first reaction temperature.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a method for determining the presence of an activated catalyst site in a catalyst system comprising a catalyst precursor and an activator, wherein the catalyst system is capable of providing a luminescence, the method comprising: performing a time resolved luminescence analysis on a reference analyte comprising the catalyst precursor that is not in combination with the activator, and performing a time resolved luminescence analysis on a sample analyte comprising the catalyst precursor in combination with the activator, determining a reference emission energy and a reference lifetime each associated with a maximum emission intensity in the reference output values; determining a sample emission energy and a sample lifetime each associated with a maximum emission intensity in the sample output values; and comparing the values to determine if the sample comprises an activated catalyst site. Use of the above method in relation to an activation index is also disclosed.
