摘要： This invention relates to a process to increase the amount of polymer solute in a polymerization medium or effluent comprising introducing a fluorocarbon into the polymerization medium or effluent in an amount effective to increase the amount of polymer solute in the polymerization medium or effluent by at least 3 % without causing precipitation of polymer solute from the polymerization medium or effluent, as compared to the same polymerization medium or effluent without the fluorocarbon present. This invention also relates to a process to reduce the viscosity of a polymerization medium or effluent comprising introducing a fluorocarbon into the polymerization medium or effluent in an amount effective to reduce the viscosity of the polymerization medium or effluent by at least 3 % without causing precipitation of polymer solute from the polymerization medium or effluent, as compared to the same polymerization medium or effluent without the fluorocarbon present.

摘要： This invention relates to a multiple phase polymerization process to produce polyolefins comprising contacting olefins and a homogeneous catalyst or catalyst system at a temperature between the melting point of the dry polymer and 80°C below the melting point of the dry polymer in the presence of a fluorinated hydrocarbon. This invention also relates to a process to produce polyethylene comprising contacting a homogeneous catalyst or catalyst system with ethylene and from 0 to 40 weight % of one or more C3 to C40 olefin comonomer(s) in the presence of a fluorinated hydrocarbon and optionally a hydrocarbon solvent at a temperature below the reaction medium melting point. This invention also relates to a process to produce polypropylene comprising contacting a homogeneous catalyst or catalyst system with propylene and from 0 to 50 weight % of one or more of ethylene and C4 to C40 olefin comonomer(s) in the presence of a fluorinated hydrocarbon and optionally a hydrocarbon solvent at a temperature below the reaction medium melting point.

摘要： This invention relates to a foamable blend comprising an in-reactor polymer blend comprising: (a) a first propylene polymer component comprising 90 to 100 wt% propylene and from 0 to less than 10 wt% comonomer, said first propylene component having a Tm of 120°C or more; and (b) a second propylene polymer component comprising from 30 to 90 wt% propylene and 70 to 10 wt% comonomer, said second propylene polymer having an Mw of 30,000 g/mol or more, and said second propylene-containing polymer having a crystallinity different by at least 5% from the first polymer, wherein the polymer blend, prior to combination with a foaming agent, has: (i) a Tm of at least 120°C; (ii) a MFR of 10 dg/min or more; (iii) a tensile strength of at least 8 MPa; (iv) an elongation at break of at least 200%; and (v) a ratio of elongational viscosity at break to linear viscosity of 5 or more when the elongational viscosity is measured at a strain rate of 1 sec -1 and temperature of 180°C; and where when the blend is foamed with a foaming agent, the foamed article has a density of 800 kg/m 3 or less.

The adhesive comprises polyolefin base polymer, from 1 to 10 wt% of at least one functionalized polyolefin, and from 1 to 15 wt% of a wax, based on the total weight of the polyolefin base polymer, functionalized polyolefin and wax, wherein the wax has a weight average molecular weight at least 8% of the weight average molecular weight of the polyolefin base polymer, viscosity at 190°C of 60 mPa•s or more, and a crystallization temperature greater than the polyolefin base polymer and greater than 100°C, and wherein the adhesive has at least 5% fiber tear at 2°C, at least 50% fiber tear at 25°C, and a characteristic set time of less than 3 seconds.
