SOLUTION: A flywheel 6 is arranged adjacent to a crank shaft 2. The flexible plate 5 connecting the flywheel 6 to the crank shaft 2 is thinner and deflectable in the axial and bending directions. A hydraulic thruster 9 has clutch operating function for granting an external operating load to a clutch cover assembly 8 and cancelling load generating function for reducing the load of the flywheel 6 on the flexible plate 5 by granting an external cancelling load to a clutch cover 16 at the opposite side in the axial direction to the operating load.

One of the annular housing 25 and the piston 26 can apply the operation load to the clutch cover assembly 8 and the other of the annular housing 25 and the piston 26 can reduce the load applied from a flywheel 6 to the crankshaft 2 by applying a canceling load in the opposite direction to the operation load to the clutch cover 16.

SOLUTION: A flexible plate 4 consists of a disc in which the end of a piston on the side receiving a load resulting from the bending vibration is cut off partially in the circumference, and has cut edges 4e and 4f. Accordingly the diameter of the piston on the side receiving the load resulting from the bending vibration is smaller than the diameter on the other side, and therefore, the bending rigidity of the piston on the side receiving the load resulting from the bending vibration is smaller than the bending rigidity on the other side. Thus the resultant flexible plate 4 has an anisotropic bending rigidity.
