    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for implanting an injection port for implantation, permitting puncture of a hypodermic needle regardless of the direction of the injection port to be self-sealed when the needle is pulled out. SOLUTION: The method for hypodermically implanting the injection port to be used together with a medical apparatus for implantation is provided. The method comprises a step for preparing the injection port comprising a first end part, a second end part, a wall part extending between the end parts to be self-sealed after the puncture, a substantially soft and flexible slender body with a fluid reservoir surrounded by the wall part, and a flexible slender tube catheter attached to the slender body to communicate with the reservoir. The method also comprises a step for forming an incision part inside the body of a patient, a step for accessing a subcutaneous fat layer of the patient via the incision part, and a step for implanting the injection port in the subcutaneous fat layer by forming a space in the subcutaneous fat layer so that the injection port can be confirmed by the palpation from outside.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surgically implantable injection port which can be attached to a patient without suturing. SOLUTION: This is an implantable surgical injection port having an undeployed position, and a deployed position wherein it is attached to tissue. The injection port 10 includes a housing 12 having a closed distal end part 14, an open proximal end part 18, and housing 12 with a fluid reservoir 20 between the distal and proximal end parts. The injection port further includes a needle penetrable septum 22 attached to the housing 12 centering on the opening. SOLUTION: The attachment mechanism of a surgically implantable medical device includes one or two or more fasteners which can be simultaneously moved from a non-dispositional position to a dispositional position by the operation of an integrated actuator. The attachment mechanism can be constituted to cancel the actuation and can make the removal or the relocation of the medical device possible by simultaneously moving the fasteners from the dispositional position to the non-dispositional position. The applier includes a locator which removably holds the medical device for the implantation, allocates the medical device at the desired position and can actuate the attachment mechanism. The applier is constituted to be capable of moving the attachment mechanism to the non-dispositional position so that the medical device for the implantation is removed from the body tissue.
