    • Embodiments of the present disclosure may generally relate to methods for processing a response matrix of a communication system. One example method may comprise dividing the response matrix into a plurality of clusters. The number of the clusters is associated with the number of subcarriers of the communication system, and the clusters are indexed in sequence as even-indexed clusters and odd-indexed clusters. The method may further comprise estimating data transmitted by a first set of transmit antennas of the communication system through a first subcarrier and a second subcarrier of the subcarriers associated with a first even- indexed cluster. The method may further comprise modifying a first receive vector of the communication system based on the estimated data transmitted by the first set of transmit antennas as a second receive vector of the communication system.

One example method for communicating between a first wireless system having a plurality of first antennas and a second wireless system having a plurality of second antennas may be presented. The method may include receiving configuration information associated with the plurality of first antennas and a plurality of modulation schemes which the first wireless system is configured to support; determining a plurality of configurations based on the configuration information, wherein each of the plurality of configurations defines a corresponding subset of first antennas selected from the plurality of first antennas and a corresponding modulation scheme selected from the plurality of modulation schemes; and selecting a first configuration from the plurality of configurations, wherein when operating under the first configuration, the first wireless system is configured to achieve one or more performance criteria.

Some example methods include obtaining an estimated transmit signal for a transmit antenna of the wireless communication system. The estimated transmit signal may be illustrated on a constellation diagram in accordance with a modulation scheme of the wireless communication system. Example methods further include calculating a distance between the estimated transmit signal and a corresponding constellation point on the constellation diagram. The corresponding constellation point is the closest constellation point for the estimated transmit signal among all constellation points in accordance with the modulation scheme of the wireless communication system. Example methods further include determining whether the transmit antenna is likely to transmit the signal received at the receiver based on the distance.
