摘要： PURPOSE:To manufacture sheet electrodes from electrode base material with almost no less and insert them into the case members automatically withhout wasting time, material and labor. CONSTITUTION:Carbon, active carbon, required binder, etc., are mixed and kneaded to obtain electrode base material 11. The base material 11 is extruded from an extrusion nozzle 10 continuously into a rod. The rod product 11a is cut in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction into sheets having required thicknesses by a cutting means 12 such as a cutter provided on the extrusion outlet side of the extrusion nozzle to obtain sheet electrodes 13 which are inserted into case members 14 and fixed to them by compression.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make a sheet electrode with hardly any losses in processing, by cutting base material, which is continuously extruded into a rod shape from an extruding nozzle, in a required thickness in a direction vertical to an axis of the extruded rod material, using a cutting means such as a cutter. CONSTITUTION:The base material 11 is put in an extruding nozzle 10. When a plunger 10a is operated, a rod material 11a with, for example, a circle section is extruded continuously from a nozzle 10. For the next process for the extruded material, a cutter 12 is prepared on the extruding side. The cutter 12 works in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the rod material 11a. By operating the cutter 12, the rod material 11a is cut into sheet electrodes 13 with a required thickness to fall into a case member 14 placed below. The case member 14 containing the sheet electrodes 13 inside is moved to a predetermined position where each sheet electrode 13 is pressed down by a press rod 17. By this method, the sheet electrodes 13 are automatically made and inserted in the case member 14 without any losses.

摘要： PURPOSE:To minimize an amount of split electrolyte when the electrolyte is injected into a case body and into a cap so that a polarizable electrode is impregnated with the electrolyte by establishing a negative pressure within the atmosphere for predetermined period of time, then restoring atmospheric pressure and repeating these procedures again. CONSTITUTION:A predetermined amount of electrolyte is injected into a case body 10 through a nozzle 18 and the case body 10 is set within a vacuum apparatus. The vacuum apparatus comprises a turn table 30 having a plurality of pits 31 arranged along the same circumference with a predetermined distance therebetween, and cup-like covers 32 provided for the respective pits 31 and movable vertically thereto. Each of the pits 31 communicate with a negative pressure source through a pipe 33. When the case body 10 containing the electrolyte is set in a pit 31, the cover 32 descends to close the pit hermetically while the negative pressure source is activated so that the pressure within the pit 31 is reduced for a predetermined period of time. Then, atmospheric pressure is restored in the pit and the procedures described above are repeated again. In this manner, an amount of the split electrolyte can be minimized.
